Papers and presentations
coding the light fantastic: the digital translations of yesterday
In this presentation, we introduce the project, including a
basic history of Laud Misc 108, the objective of the class/project, and
the parts of the SEL that we were focused on. As this was our first
experience with Digital Humanities, we will outline the trajectory of
our development during the course of the class, describing first the
skill sets we acquired. Jesse will address this issue, as well as the
process of editing and decision making integral to the application
skills developed. I will be discussing our outcome methodology, and the
critical theoretical development that accompanied skill acquisition.
Finally, we'll be contextualizing our experiences within the realm of
past and present literary practices, as well as emerging practices in
digital humanities.
